Ingredients:

  • 2 large lettuce leaves
  • 1 can (400g) of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Serving plate

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the drained chickpeas with olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the chickpeas are well-coated.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned chickpeas. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the chickpeas are slightly crispy.
  • Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice.
  • To assemble, place the sautéed chickpeas onto the large lettuce leaves, folding them over as wraps. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
