Ingredients:

  • 2 Tuna steaks (200g each)
  • 200g of sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Grill pan
  • Potato masher
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups

Instructions:

  • Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into small pieces, then boil in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
  • While the sweet potatoes are cooking, heat the grill pan over high heat and brush the tuna steaks with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Sear the tuna steaks on the grill pan for 1-2 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish.
  • Once the sweet potatoes are tender, drain and mash them with lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Serve the seared tuna steaks on a plate with a generous dollop of sweet potato mash on the side.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.
